On March 7, 2021, an Indian national who was driving a vehicle that did not comply with traffic rules hit Thalat's bike in the Jebel Ali Police Station area of Dubai. The court found that the accident was due to the negligence of the driver of the opposing vehicle that collided with Thalat's vehicle, and the Traffic Criminal Court fined the driver 3,000 dirhams and released him.

Subsequently, Thalat, who had sustained serious injuries in the accident, approached his father, Salam Pappinissery, CEO of YAB LEGAL SERVICES - CEO and social activist, to seek compensation. Later, through his intervention, a case was registered against a leading insurance company in the UAE and the driver of the vehicle by submitting medical reports and police reports before the Insurance Authority. However, when the case came before the authority, the insurance company submitted a memorandum stating that Thalat had not sustained any significant injuries and that the amount demanded was excessive and that it should be reduced. However, Talat's lawyer also submitted a memorandum with strong documents, including medical reports.

The authority, after examining the medical reports and police reports submitted by his lawyer, asked the insurance company to pay 1 million dirhams as compensation in that case. However, dissatisfied with this ruling, Talat's lawyer filed a complaint with the Dubai Civil Court against it, showing a medical report showing that Talat's health condition was very poor. After examining the arguments and documents, the civil court found that Talat was entitled to 1 million dirhams (i.e. 10 crore Pakistani rupees) in compensation and ruled against the insurance company.

The insurance company approached the Court of Appeal against this with the same arguments, but the appeal was dismissed due to lack of sufficient supporting documents.
