On June 02, 2021, an Indian national was driving a vehicle in Dubai, violating traffic rules and hitting the vehicle in which Faqeer was traveling, killing him on the spot. The court found that the accident was due to the negligence of the Indian national, and the Traffic Criminal Court fined the driver 10,000 dirhams and suspended his license for 3 months and released him.

Subsequently, the family of Faqeer, who died in the accident, approached YAB LEGAL SERVICES - CEO and social activist Salam Pappinissery for compensation. Later, through his intervention, a case was registered against a leading insurance company in the UAE and the driver of the vehicle by submitting medical reports and police reports before the Insurance Authority. In that case, the Insurance Authority asked the insurance company to pay 300,000 (three hundred thousand) dirhams in compensation.

However, the insurance company's lawyer filed a civil case in the Dubai court, claiming that the documents submitted were inaccurate, that the compensation awarded by the court was excessive, and that the awarded amount should be canceled. When the case reached the court, the lawyer for Asif's heirs approached the court with strong documents, including medical reports.

The civil court, which examined the medical report he submitted and the documents of the heirs, rejected the insurance company's argument. The insurance company had also approached the appeal court with the same argument. But to no avail.
