45,000 Dirhams Compensation for Malayali Injured in Road Accident

DUBAI: A Malayali native from Malappuram, who was injured in a road accident, has been awarded 45,000 dirhams (approximately 10.7 lakh Indian rupees) in compensation by a court. The favorable verdict was received by Nazarudheen Ibrahim, who was involved in an accident while riding an electric scooter in Dubai. This achievement was made possible through the legal assistance of Salam Pappinissery, the CEO of YAB LEGAL SERVICES.
The incident occurred on January 3, 2024, in the Al Quoz Industrial Area of Dubai. An Audi car driven by an Iraqi national collided with Nazarudheen's electric scooter. It was determined that the accident was caused by the Iraqi national entering the road without ensuring it was safe. Nazarudheen sustained serious injuries to his leg and was admitted to Rashid Hospital. The criminal court fined the Iraqi national 5000 dirhams for causing the accident.
Subsequently, Nazarudheen's compensation case was registered against the Iraqi national's insurance company under the leadership of YAB LEGAL SERVICES. After reviewing the medical reports, police report, and other related documents, the court ordered the insurance company to pay compensation.
In addition to the compensation amount of 45,000 dirhams, the court also ruled that the insurance company must pay 5% interest on the full amount from the date of the verdict until it is paid off, 4100 dirhams for the medical fees incurred for the case, and 500 dirhams for the lawyer's fees.
