On July 29, 2019, a Bangladeshi national stopped his vehicle in the middle of the road in Sharjah, violating traffic rules, resulting in a three-vehicle collision, killing Jamiruddin, who was in the second vehicle. The court found that the accident was due to the negligence of the drivers of the vehicles, and the Traffic Criminal Court fined the drivers Dh10,000 and suspended their licenses for 3 months and released them.

Subsequently, the family of Jamiruddin, who died in the accident, approached Salam Pappinissery, CEO of YAB LEGAL SERVICES and a social activist, for compensation. Later, through his intervention, a case was registered against a leading insurance company in the UAE and the drivers of the vehicle, after submitting medical reports and police reports before the Insurance Authority. In that case, the Insurance Authority asked the insurance company to pay 450,000 (four hundred and fifty thousand) dirhams in compensation.

However, the insurance company's lawyer filed a civil case in the Dubai Court, claiming that the documents submitted were inaccurate, that the compensation awarded by the court was higher, and that the awarded amount should be canceled. When the case reached the court, the lawyer for Jamiruddin's heirs approached the court with strong documents, including medical reports.

The civil court, which examined the medical report submitted by him and the documents of the heirs, rejected the insurance company's argument. The insurance company had also approached the Court of Appeal with the same argument. But to no avail.
