50,000 dirhams in compensation to Nepalese national, who was injured in a car accident.
A Dubai court has ruled to pay 50,000 dirhams (1 million Nepalese rupees) in compensation to Nepalese national Binod Sreshtha, who was injured in a car accident, through the intervention of Salam Pappinissery, CEO of YAB Legal Services, a social activist, and a well-known legal representative in the UAE.

On November 03, 2020, an Emirati national was driving a vehicle that violated traffic laws within the limits of the Muraqabat Police Station in Dubai and hit another vehicle, which then hit the bike Binod was riding, causing an accident. The court was convinced that the accident had occurred due to the negligence of the Emirati national and the Traffic Criminal Court fined the driver 1000 dirhams and released him.
Then, Binod, who had sustained serious injuries in the accident, approached Salam Pappinissery, CEO of YAB LEGAL SERVICES and a social activist, to get compensation. Later, through his intervention, a case was registered against a leading insurance company in the UAE and the driver of the vehicle by submitting medical reports and police reports before the Insurance Authority. In that case, the Insurance Authority asked the insurance company to pay 25000 dirhams in compensation.
However, according to the documents submitted, Binod's lawyer filed a civil case in the Dubai court, demanding that Binod's injuries be more severe and that the amount awarded be less, and that the compensation amount be increased. When the case reached the court, the civil court rejected the request, and Binod immediately approached the appeal court. Binod's lawyer approached the appeal court with strong documents, including medical reports.
After examining the medical report and documents submitted by Binod's lawyer, the appeal court increased the 25,000 dirhams awarded by the insurance authority to 50,000 dirhams.
