Ajman: Samuel Sanjeev, a native of Bangalore, filed a complaint with the Labor Court through Yab Legal Services after he was abruptly dismissed from the automobile company where he worked for three years and was not paid his salary and benefits.

He worked for three years from 2017 to 2021 and was not paid his salary for the last three months. After that, he was told not to come to work, to support himself at home, and to come back when the management called. Realizing that this was a ploy to dismiss him without paying his salary and benefits, Samuel approached Yab Legal Services CEO Salam Pappinissery to get his rights.

Samuel's lawyer had submitted a memorandum containing information about all the rights he was entitled to, including three months of pending salary, leave salary, flight ticket, service gratuity, and compensation for the sudden dismissal.

In the subsequent sittings, the company filed a reply memorandum. They argued without supporting documents that all rights had been granted and that the company was due a huge sum from Samuel.

The court, after examining the arguments and documents, appointed an accounting expert and later found that the company was entitled to grant rights to Samuel and rejected the company's arguments. The company approached the Court of Appeal with the same argument, but since it was an argument without evidence, their argument was again rejected and the company was asked to grant the rights to Samuel.
