A Dubai court has ordered a compensation of 61.1 million Pakistani rupees (7.58 lakh dirhams) including court costs to Muhammad Aswim Sajid Ali, a Pakistani national who was injured in a car accident in Dubai, through the intervention of YAB LEGAL SERICES CEO and social activist Salam Pappinissery.

On May 28, 2021, an Egyptian man was driving recklessly in the Buhaira Police Station area of Dubai, hitting the bike he was riding, causing him to be seriously injured. Aswim was admitted to the hospital after the impact.
The case registered against the accused at the Buhaira Police Station was later referred to the Sharjah Traffic Criminal Court, which found the driver’s negligence to be the cause of the accident and sentenced him to a fine of 1,000 dirhams.
Meanwhile, Muhammad Aswim, who was injured, approached Salam Pappinissery, CEO of YAB LEGAL SERVICES and a social activist, to seek compensation. Through his intervention, a case was registered against the insurance company of the vehicle by submitting medical reports, police reports and insurance documents before the Insurance Authority. Based on the medical report submitted by Aswim's advocate and the proven injuries, the Insurance Authority ordered the insurance company of the defendant's vehicle to pay compensation of 7.58 lakh dirhams (6 crore 11 lakh Pakistani rupees) to Muhammad Aswim.
