Dubai: Kozhikode-based Narikkuni native Saseendran, who had been unconscious in the intensive care unit of Dubai's Rashid Hospital for about five months following a heart attack, has been shifted to his home country for further treatment.

Narikkuni NRI Association President Harris Kundungara, General Secretary Zakaria Pulparambil, social activists Basheer Thikkodi, Salam Pappinissery, Nandhi Nassar and others led efforts to bring Saseendran home.

He was taken on an Air India flight on Thursday evening and is undergoing treatment at the Kozhikode Aster MIMS Hospital.

Saseendran's relative Nishanth and hospital nurses are accompanying him.
