The accident occurred when a car driven by an Emirati citizen hit the rear of a parked vehicle on a three-lane road in Saih Ibn Ammar, Al Ain. Three vehicles, including the vehicle of Pakistani national Naeem Twariq, were damaged in the accident, and the seriously injured Naeem Twariq was taken to Al Ain Hospital for treatment.

The court found that the accident was caused by the vehicle, which was parked on the road in compliance with all traffic rules, not paying attention to it and not keeping the correct distance from the vehicle in front, and found the driver of the vehicle that caused the accident guilty, fined him 2,000 dirhams and released him.

Naeem Tariq, who was undergoing treatment for a serious head injury, found it very difficult to continue his treatment and daily life, and he was unable to receive any compensation from the insurance company. Naeem then approached Salam Pappinissery, CEO of Yab Legal Services, to get this compensation. Immediately, under his leadership, the insurance company was approached and his lawyer submitted a petition including Naeem's medical reports. The court, which considered the petition, ordered the insurance company to pay three lakh dirhams (i.e. two crore 30 lakh Pakistani rupees) to Naeem Tariq. However, the insurance company approached the civil court against this verdict. They also approached the Court of Appeal, but the court rejected their petition.
