On November 11, 2021, the motorcycle driven by Pakistani national Muhammad Tanveer, who was coming from Khawaneej to Rashidiya, was hit by a car driven by a Bengali national who was entering the exit road near the Mirdif Bridge. Tanveer, who was seriously injured in the accident, was taken to Rashid Hospital for treatment. The criminal court fined the accused two thousand dirhams for causing bodily harm and property damage by careless driving. However, Tanveer, who was undergoing treatment after the accident, was unable to bear his medical expenses and approached Salam Pappinissery, CEO of Yab Legal Services in the UAE, seeking compensation for the losses he had incurred. Then, under his leadership, a petition was filed in the Insurance Court, making the insurance company the opposing party, and a claim was made for compensation. The Insurance Court, after considering the petition, issued a judgment ordering the insurance company to pay three hundred thousand dirhams in compensation to Muhammad Tanveer. However, Muhammad Tanveer's lawyer approached the civil court against this judgment, stating that the amount awarded was insufficient and could not cover the losses incurred by his client, and convinced the court of the physical and mental losses suffered by Tanveer due to the accident. After examining all the documents submitted by both parties, the court accepted Tanveer's lawyer's argument and increased the compensation amount to three lakh fifty thousand (i.e. two crore 66 lakh Pakistani rupees).
