On December 2, 2023, a Bangladeshi national was driving drunk and did not follow the road rules and did not keep the required distance on Maktoum Bin Rashid Road in Ghandhoot, Abu Dhabi, and crashed into Junaid's Toyota Hiace, which was carrying medicines to a medical shop, and Junaid's vehicle lost control and hit a concrete barricade, causing the vehicle to overturn. The Bangladeshi national who caused the accident was fined 5,000 dirhams for reckless driving and 10,000 dirhams for drunk driving, and his license was suspended for two months.

Junaid, who suffered injuries to his head, chest, left shoulder, and spine in the accident, approached YAB LEGAL SERVICES - CEO Salam Pappinissery for compensation. Later, through his intervention, a case was registered against a leading insurance company in the UAE and the driver of the vehicle by submitting medical reports, police reports, insurance documents and a criminal case judgment before the Insurance Authority for compensation. In that case, the Insurance Authority asked the insurance company to pay compensation of 200,000 dirhams.

However, according to the documents submitted, Junaid did not suffer any significant injuries and the amount awarded was excessive and requested to be reduced from it. However, the insurance company approached the Court of Appeal, claiming that there was no evidence to support its argument.

Finally, the court ordered the insurance company to pay Junaid 200,000 dirhams (47 lakh Indian rupees) based on the medical report submitted by the lawyer from Yab Legal Services and the proven injuries.
