Compensation of four lakh dirhams to Pakistani national Khilaar Abbas, who was injured in a car accident in Muwailah, Sharjah.
The court has ordered compensation of four lakh dirhams (i.e. three crore 4 lakh Pakistani rupees) to Pakistani national Khilaar Abbas, who was injured in a car accident in Muwailah, Sharjah, through the intervention of Yab Legal Services CEO Salam Pappinissery.

On January 29, 2022, a car driven by a Bahraini national, who was going from Sharjah University to Muwailihah, hit a Pakistani national, Khilar Abbas, who was standing on the side of the road opposite the Shuhada Maidan. Khilar Abbas, who was seriously injured in the accident, was immediately taken to Al Qasimi Hospital, but was transferred to Fujairah Hospital as he required specialist treatment. The police investigated the cause of the accident, filed a case for driving in violation of traffic laws and referred it to court. The criminal court sentenced him to a fine of 3,000 dirhams for causing bodily harm and property damage to another person and released him.
However, Abbas, who was undergoing treatment for skull and left leg injuries following the accident, found it very difficult to receive specialist treatment and was currently facing significant financial and moral losses. He approached Yab Legal Services CEO Salam Pappinissery to seek compensation for these losses. After examining Abbas's accident report and medical report, he appointed Abbas's lawyer and filed a petition with the insurance court, making the company that insured the vehicle that caused the accident the opposing party. The court that considered the petition ordered the opposing party to pay Abbas 3.5 million dirhams in compensation, but Abbas's lawyer approached the civil court, saying that the amount awarded was insufficient. He stated that due to the severity of his client's injuries, he had to rely on another hospital for specialist treatment from the hospital where he was first admitted, and that he had incurred a large amount of money for that, and requested that it be recovered from the opposing party, and submitted documents as evidence. The insurance company opposed the arguments submitted Although the court was approached, the court accepted the argument of Abbas's lawyer and increased the compensation amount to four lakh dirhams (i.e. three crore 4 lakh Pakistani rupees).
