Compensation of three lakh dirhams, a Pakistani national who was injured in a car accident.

On August 2, 2022, a vehicle coming from Al Ain to Abu Dhabi collided with a parked vehicle on the side of the road while changing lanes on the left. Amir Suhail was a passenger in the parked car. Amir Suhail was seriously injured in the head, chest and right shoulder and was admitted to the hospital.

The Abu Dhabi Criminal Court found that the accident occurred due to the negligence of the driver of the car that hit the parked vehicle and the traffic violation on the part of the driver of the parked vehicle, and fined each of them 3000 and 2000 dirhams respectively. A case was registered with the Insurance Authority along with the necessary documents such as medical reports, police reports, and memorandums and compensation was sought. After examining the documents submitted, the Insurance Authority awarded compensation of one hundred and fifty thousand dirhams. However, the advocate, realizing that the compensation awarded was less than the injuries sustained by Amir Suhail, filed a case with the Dubai Civil Court demanding an increase in the compensation amount.

The civil court, after examining strong documents such as the medical report and the criminal case judgment, which showed the extent of Ameer Suhail's injuries, considered the case and increased the compensation amount to three hundred thousand dirhams (2 crore 28 lakh Pakistani rupees).
