Compensation of two and a half lakh dirhams to a Pakistani national who was injured in an accident.
A Dubai court has ordered the compensation of two and a half lakh dirhams (one crore eighty-nine lakh Pakistani rupees) to Suhail Hussain Lai Khan, a Pakistani national who was injured in an accident in Dubai, through the intervention of YAB LEGAL SERVICES CEO Salam Pappinissery.

On October 23, 2021, on Sheikh Zayed Road in the Bur Dubai Police Station area of Dubai, a Bangladeshi national's car had a flat tire and had stopped without signaling, causing an accident where the bike of Suhail, who was coming from behind, hit the car. Suhail, who was seriously injured, was admitted to Rashidiya Hospital.
The court found that the cause of the accident was non-compliance with traffic rules and ruled that the driver of the car was guilty and should pay a fine of 1000 dirhams. Meanwhile, Suhail, who was riding the bike, was also at fault. Suhail, the bike passenger, was riding the bike without keeping the correct distance. Therefore, the Dubai Criminal Court ruled that he was also guilty and should pay a fine of 1000 dirhams.
Suhail, who had a fractured right leg and suffered serious injuries to his arm and shoulder, approached Salam Pappinissery, CEO of YAB LEGAL SERVICES, a leading law firm in the UAE, to seek compensation. Under his leadership, a case was registered against a leading insurance company in the UAE and the driver of the vehicle by submitting medical and police reports before the Insurance Authority. In that case, the court ordered the insurance company to pay two hundred and twenty thousand dirhams as compensation.
However, realizing that Suhail's injuries were serious and that this award was not sufficient, Suhail's lawyer registered a case in the Dubai Civil Court demanding an increase in the compensation amount. The necessary evidence was also submitted to the court. After examining the documents, the court considered the case and increased the compensation amount to two hundred and fifty thousand dirhams (i.e. one crore eighty-nine lakh Pakistani rupees). The insurance company objected to this, but the argument was rejected.
