Family of Pakistani national Adnan Azhar, who died in a car accident in Sharjah, to pay two lakh dirhams in compensation.
The court has ordered the family of Pakistani national Adnan Azhar, who died in a car accident in Sharjah, to pay two lakh dirhams (1.5 crore Pakistani rupees) in compensation, through the intervention of Yab Legal Services CEO Salam Papinissery.

On June 3, 2017, an Emirati citizen was driving a vehicle entering Sharjah University onto Sheikh Mohammed Zayed Road when it hit two Pakistani nationals who were crossing the road. Adnan Azhar died and his companion was seriously injured in the accident. The police, which investigated the cause of the accident, found that the Emirati citizen was driving without proper precautions and without paying attention to road users and referred the case to the criminal court. The court found the Emirati citizen guilty of taking the life of another person by driving without following traffic rules and ordered him to pay a fine of three thousand dirhams, suspend his license for three months, and pay two hundred thousand dirhams as compensation to the family of the deceased Azhar.
However, the family, who had to face many moral and material losses with Azhar's death, approached Salam Papinissery, CEO of Yab Legal Services in the UAE, seeking compensation for their losses. After examining all the documents in the case, he tried to reconcile with the company that insured the vehicle that caused the accident, but when they were not ready for it, he filed a petition in the insurance court, making them the opposing party, and demanding compensation. The insurance company was unable to respond to the arguments of Azhar's lawyer, and the court subsequently ordered Azhar's family to be paid two hundred thousand dirhams in compensation in addition to the severance pay.
