Pakistani national who was injured in a vehicle collision on Dubai's Sheikh Zayed Road, to be paid 300,000 dirhams in compensation.
A Dubai court has ordered Umar Farooq, a Pakistani national who was injured in a vehicle collision on Dubai's Sheikh Zayed Road, to be paid 300,000 dirhams (230,000 rupees) in compensation through the intervention of Salam Pappinissery, CEO of Yab Legal Services.

The accident occurred on October 19, 2018, when a car driven by a Jordanian national, who was coming from Abu Dhabi to Dubai, hit a Pakistani national's bike. While the vehicle was moving, it was trying to change from the third lane to the second lane when it saw a biker riding in the second lane, but due to excessive speed, the Jordanian national was unable to control his own vehicle and the vehicles collided. The biker, who was seriously injured in the accident, was immediately taken to Rashid Hospital for treatment. The criminal court found the Jordanian national guilty of causing the accident and sentenced him to a fine of 4,000 dirhams and suspended his license for three months.
Then, Pakistani national Umar Farooq approached Salam Pappinissery, CEO of Yab Legal Services in the UAE, claiming that he and his vehicle had suffered serious injuries in the accident and that he should be provided with compensation. Immediately, under his leadership, a petition was filed in the insurance court and compensation was sought. After examining the submitted medical reports and scanning reports, the court ordered the insurance company to pay three lakh dirhams (i.e. two crore 30 lakh Pakistani rupees) in compensation. Although the insurance company approached the civil appeal courts against this, the court rejected all those petitions.
