Bangladeshi Expat Awarded AED 65,000 Compensation in Dubai Accident

A Dubai court has ordered an insurance company to pay a compensation of AED 65,000 (approximately 21.5 lakh Bangladeshi Taka) to Muhammad Ashraf Hossain, a Bangladeshi national who was injured in a car accident. The legal assistance provided by Salam Pappinissery, CEO of YAB Legal Services, was crucial in the case.
The incident occurred on February 5, 2024, near Z05 Building in the English Quarter of Dubai's International City. While Muhammad Ashraf Hossain was getting into his parked Camry car, a Mitsubishi Canter, driven by a Pakistani national, hit him from behind, causing a serious injury to his hand. The offending vehicle did not stop at the scene.
The Pakistani driver was found guilty in a criminal case and fined AED 3,000 by the Dubai Traffic Criminal Court. Following this, Muhammad Ashraf Hossain approached Salam Pappinissery for legal representation. A case was filed with the Insurance Authority against the vehicle's insurance company, supported by the accident report, forensic medical report, and other relevant documents.
Considering the severity of the injury and the evidence presented, the court ordered the insurance company to pay AED 65,000 in compensation to Muhammad Ashraf Hossain. Additionally, the court ruled that the insurance company must also cover AED 3,850 for legal fees and expenses. The timely and effective legal support from Salam Pappinissery was instrumental in securing this compensation.
