Compensation of 100,000 dirhams to Sushil Qaiser, who was injured in a car accident.
The Dubai court has ruled to pay compensation of 100,000 dirhams (7.7 million Pakistani rupees) to Sushil Qaiser, who was injured in a car accident, through the intervention of YAB Legal Services CEO Salam Pappinissery.

On May 14, 2019, within the jurisdiction of the Al Rifa Police Station in Dubai, a delivery worker named Susheela was involved in an accident when another vehicle, which violated traffic rules, collided with her bike. The court was convinced that the accident occurred due to the negligence of the driver of the opposing vehicle that hit Susheela’s bike. Consequently, the Traffic Criminal Court fined the driver 2,000 dirhams and released him.
Following the accident, in which Susheela sustained serious injuries, she approached Salam Pappinisseri — CEO of YAB Legal Services and a social worker — to seek compensation. With his intervention, medical and police reports were submitted to the Insurance Authority, and a case was registered against both a leading insurance company in the UAE and the driver of the vehicle to claim compensation.
Although the insurance company offered to settle the case with a payment of 40,000 dirhams in court, Susheela’s lawyer did not agree, insisting that the compensation must be proportionate to the injuries she suffered.
After reviewing the medical and police reports submitted by Susheela’s lawyer, the authority ordered the insurance company to pay a compensation of 100,000 dirhams (equivalent to 7.7 million Pakistani rupees), along with an additional 9% legal benefit on the amount.
