On February 28, 2022, Shahrzad was hit and injured by a vehicle while crossing the road in Port Said, Dubai. The accident occurred on her first day back from the office. The Dubai Criminal Court, which found that the accident was caused by the negligence of the Palestinian driver, suspended her driver's license for three months and fined her Dh3,000.

Shahrzad, who suffered injuries to her hand and other parts of her body, approached Salam Pappinissery, CEO of Yab Legal Services, seeking compensation. He examined the details of the case and initiated legal proceedings to obtain compensation.

Shahrzad's lawyer filed a case with the Insurance Authority, making the insurance company of the vehicle that caused the accident the opposing party, and submitted the medical report and other documents. After examining the documents, the Insurance Authority ordered Shahrzad to pay 10,000 dirhams as compensation. However, realizing that this amount was low, Shahrzad's lawyer filed a case with the Dubai Civil Court. The Civil Court considered the case and increased the compensation amount to 25,000 dirhams.
