Compensation of 48.8 million Bangladeshi taka to a Bangladeshi national who was injured in a car accident.
The court ruled to pay compensation of 48.8 million Bangladeshi taka (1,500,000.15 million dirhams) to Abdul Zahir, a Bangladeshi national who was injured in a car accident in Al Ain, through the intervention of YAB Legal Services CEO Salam Pappinissery.

On September 7, 2020, Abdul Zahir, who was riding a bike at the Al Ain Al Shiwayb Roundabout, was hit by a car belonging to an Emirati national who had not obeyed traffic laws and was not paying attention to vehicles on the road. Immediately after the accident, Abdul Zahir was transferred to Al Tawam Hospital in Al Ain.
The Emirati national who drove his vehicle in violation of traffic laws was found guilty in a criminal case by the court and was released after paying a fine of 2000 dirhams. On this occasion, a case was filed in the Insurance Disputes Resolution Court against the vehicle's insurance company as the opposing party to seek compensation. Abdul Zahir's family approached YAB LEGAL SERVICES- CEO Salam Pappinissery to take legal action in this regard.
The lawyer for Yab Legal Services argued in court that Abdul Zahir had sustained injuries all over his body and that the cause of his injuries was the negligence of the Emirati national who had broken traffic laws and was driving the vehicle. After hearing the arguments, the court ordered the insurance company to pay compensation of 350,000 (three hundred and fifty thousand) dirhams. However, the lawyer for Yab Legal Services approached the Court of Appeal, showing that this verdict was not satisfactory and submitted a memorandum, providing medical reports, demanding compensation based on the injuries, stating that Abdul Zahir had sustained fatal injuries and was in a coma. The Court of Appeal, after reviewing the documents and arguments in that case, found that Abdul Zahir was entitled to compensation of 1,500,000 (one and a half million) dirhams and overturned the previous verdict.
Against this, the insurance company's lawyer approached the Supreme Court, arguing that the injury was not serious and that this high amount was more than the compensation, and requesting that compensation be paid only according to the injuries, based on the medical reports and documents submitted by Abdul Zahir's lawyer. However, the insurance company's lawyer's arguments were rejected in the face of the medical reports and documents submitted by Abdul Zahir's lawyer.
