Compensation of 5 lakh dirhams to an Indian national who was injured in a car accident.
A Dubai court has ordered compensation of 5 lakh dirhams (1 crore 12 lakh Indian rupees) to Nadeer Alam Mueenuddin, an Indian national who was injured in a car accident, through the intervention of YAB LEGAL SERVICES CEO Salam Pappinissery.

On February 16, 2021, Nadeer Alam Mueenuddin, who was sitting in front of a supermarket in the Sajja Industrial Area in Sharjah, was hit by a vehicle coming in reverse gear. Nadeer was seriously injured and was immediately admitted to the hospital.
The driver’s negligence was found to be the cause of the accident and a case was filed against the vehicle’s insurance company to seek compensation. Nadeer approached Salam Pappinissery, CEO of YAB LEGAL SERVICES and a social activist, to conduct the case.
Nadeer's lawyer argued in court that Nadeer had suffered serious injuries to his thigh and waist and that the driver's negligence was the cause of the accident, so the insurance company that insured the vehicle should pay compensation. After hearing the arguments, the court asked the insurance company to pay 70,000 dirhams in compensation.
However, realizing that the compensation amount awarded by the Insurance Authority was not sufficient, Nadeer's lawyer filed a case in the Dubai Civil Court. The case was argued by submitting a medical report, memorandum and other documents, and the Dubai Civil Court increased the compensation amount to 500,000 dirhams.
The insurance company's lawyer approached the appeal court against the civil court's ruling, arguing that the injury was not serious and that the amount was too much. However, since Nadeer's lawyer provided a detailed response along with medical reports and other documents, the appeal court dismissed the case and imposed legal fees on them.
