Compensation of 550,000 dirhams, to an Indian national who died in a car accident
The court has ordered the family of Kamal Yogi Panwar, an Indian national who died in a car accident in Abu Dhabi, to pay a compensation of 550,000 dirhams (i.e. 1.4 crore Indian rupees) including expenses, through the intervention of Yab Legal Services CEO Salam Pappinissery.

On December 2, 2022, a vehicle traveling under the Ghandoot Bridge on Sheikh Maktoum Bin Rashid Street in Abu Dhabi hit Kamalyogi, who was crossing the road. He died instantly. Later, the court found the Indian driver at fault and fined him Dh3,000.
However, the death of Kamalyogi, the breadwinner of the family, deeply hurt the family. That is how his relatives approached Salam Pappinissery, CEO of Yab Legal Services, demanding compensation. He took up the case and started the process to get compensation.
For the first time, the procedure for obtaining compensation was initiated in the criminal court and the necessary documents such as the death certificate, police report, and legal heirs certificate were submitted to the criminal court. After examining the documents submitted, the court ordered the family to pay two hundred thousand dirhams as compensation. However, realizing that this amount was insufficient, the lawyer for Kamal Yogi's family registered a compensation case with the Insurance Authority, demanding additional compensation in addition to the compensation. The argument was submitted to the court by submitting a proper memorandum along with the necessary documents such as the Soul Bread Winner Certificate attested by the embassy, the Legal Hires Certificate, and the Criminal Case Judgment. The opposing party's insurance company's advocate also submitted a reply memorandum denying the arguments. After hearing the arguments of both sides, the court considered the case submitted by Kamal Yogi's family and ordered a total compensation of five lakh fifty thousand dirhams (one and a half crore Indian rupees) in addition to the compensation.
