Compensation of 800,000 dirhams to Tamil Nadu native, who was injured in a car accident.
A Dubai court has ordered compensation of 800,000 dirhams (one crore eighty lakh rupees) to Tamil Nadu native Dinakaran Balachandran, who was injured in a car accident, through the intervention of YAB LEGAL SERVICES, CEO Salam Pappinissery.

On January 8, 2021, Dinakaran was walking on Masjid Road in Al Ain when a vehicle that lost control hit him. The court found that the Indian driver who caused the accident was driving recklessly and fined him Dh2,000 and released him.
Subsequently, Dinakaran, who suffered serious injuries in the accident, approached Salam Pappinissery, CEO of YAB LEGAL SERVICES and a social activist, to seek compensation. Later, through his intervention, a case was registered against a leading insurance company in the UAE by submitting medical reports, police reports and insurance documents before the Dubai Court. In that case, the court asked the insurance company to pay Dh800,000 (8 lakhs) in compensation.
However, the insurance company filed a memorandum of reply stating that Dinakaran had not suffered any significant injuries as per the documents submitted and that the amount awarded was excessive and that it should be reduced, but that argument was completely rejected due to lack of evidence. The insurance company also approached the Court of Appeal with the same argument, but the Court of Appeal also rejected the insurance company's case after examining the documents including the medical report submitted by Dinakaran's lawyer.
Finally, based on the medical report submitted by Dinakaran's lawyer and the proven injuries, the Court of Appeal ordered Gurdeep to pay 800,000 UAE dirhams, i.e. one crore eighty lakh rupees, as compensation.
