Compensation of one million dirhams to Mohammed Salim, a Bangladeshi national who was injured in an accident at Sharjah.
The court has ordered compensation of 20.97 crore Bangladeshi dhakas (one million dirhams) to Mohammed Salim, a Bangladeshi national who was injured in an accident at Sajja Industrial Area in Sharjah, through the intervention of YAB LEGAL SERVICES CEO Salam Pappinissery.

On January 2, 2022, at 8 pm, Muhammad Salim was crossing the road in the Sajja Industrial Area in Sharjah when he was hit by a pickup truck driven by a Bangladeshi national. Salim was seriously injured in the impact and was immediately admitted to Al Qasimiyya Hospital.
The court found that the driver’s negligence was the cause of the accident and imposed a fine of Dh10,000. Later, Salim approached YAB LEGAL SERVICES CEO Salam Pappinissery to obtain compensation for Salim and initiated legal proceedings under his leadership to obtain compensation.
The compensation case was registered with the insurance company of the vehicle that caused the accident and the driver as the opposing parties. Salim, who was in a coma due to the accident, submitted necessary documents including medical certificates and criminal case judgments. After examining the documents submitted, the Insurance Authority awarded Salim 550,000 dirhams as compensation. However, Salim's lawyer, realizing that the awarded amount was insufficient, approached the Dubai Civil Court with a request to increase the compensation amount for a person who is permanently unconscious due to fatal injuries and filed a civil case. The court, after carefully examining the documents including the submitted medical reports, increased the compensation amount to 1 million dirhams (20.97 million Bangladeshi dhaka).
