The accident occurred on April 26, 2021, in Fujairah Al Badiya when a pickup truck driven by an Egyptian hit the bike of Bangladeshi national Razak Miah. The vehicle was damaged in the accident and Razak was admitted to the Khor Fuk Khan Hospital with injuries. The police, who investigated the cause of the accident, filed a case against the Egyptian national for driving without maintaining the proper distance and referred it to the criminal court. The court, which considered the case, imposed a fine of 1,500 dirhams and sentenced him to death for causing bodily harm and property damage to another person.

However, Razak, who was undergoing treatment for serious injuries to several organs in the accident, was having difficulty with further treatment and was currently facing a lot of financial and moral losses. He approached Salam Pappinissery, CEO of Yab Legal Services in the UAE, seeking compensation for his losses. Immediately, under his leadership, a petition was filed in court, making the company that insured the vehicle that caused the accident the opposing party, and demanding compensation. However, since the forensic report issued by the court without jurisdiction stated that the amount demanded was high and that the accident was caused by the injured person, the opposing party submitted a memorandum of reply, demanding that it be dismissed. Razak's lawyer came forward against this and informed the court that the subject court had the authority to prepare a report as per the decision of the Court of Cassation and that the report had recorded permanent disability in most of Razak's organs. After examining all the documents submitted by both the parties, the court accepted the argument of Razak's lawyer and ordered the insurance company to pay compensation of 7 lakh dirhams, i.e. 2 crore 9 lakh Bangladeshi taka.

The opposing parties approached the civil appeal courts against this verdict, but the court rejected their demands.
