Compensation of three hundred and fifty thousand dirhams to a Pakistani national who was injured in a car accident in Ras Al Khaimah.
The Dubai Appeal Court has ruled to pay compensation of 20 million 68 lakh Pakistani rupees (three hundred and fifty thousand dirhams) to Syed Kaleem Sawab Jan, a Pakistani national who was injured in a car accident in Ras Al Khaimah, through the intervention of YAB LEGAL SERVICES CEO Salam Pappinissery.

On January 22, 2020, a vehicle lost control in Ras Al Khaimah and rammed into people walking on the side of the road. One person died in the accident and Syed Kalim Sawab and eight others were seriously injured.
The Ras Al Khaimah Criminal Court found that the driver of the car was negligent and filed a case against him and sentenced him to one month in prison and a fine of Dh5,000. Subsequently, the relatives of Syed Kalim, who was seriously injured, approached Salam Pappinissery, CEO of YAB LEGAL SERVICES, seeking compensation. He took up the case and initiated legal proceedings to obtain compensation.
The compensation case was registered in the court, including the driver of the vehicle that caused the accident and the insurance company as opposing parties. Kaleem's lawyer argued in court that the insurance company that insured the vehicle should pay compensation, as he suffered serious injuries to his left thigh and limbs and that the accident was caused by the driver's negligence. The insurance authority, after examining the submitted medical report and other documents, awarded him one hundred and fifty thousand dirhams as compensation. However, realizing that the amount awarded was insufficient, Kaleem's lawyer approached the Dubai Court of Appeal and increased the award to three hundred and fifty thousand dirhams (two crore 68 lakh Pakistani rupees).
