Compensation of three lakh dirhams to Indian national Kamaljit Singh, who was injured in an accident involving trucks on the Dubai-Abu Dhabi road.
The court ruled to pay compensation of three lakh dirhams (i.e. 68 lakh Indian rupees) to Indian national Kamaljit Singh, who was injured in an accident involving trucks on the Dubai-Abu Dhabi road, through the intervention of Yab Legal Services CEO Salam Pappinissery.

On February 23, 2020, an accident occurred when a truck driven by Indian national Kamaljit Singh hit the back of another truck on Sheikh Zayed Road. Kamaljit was seriously injured in the accident and both vehicles were damaged. The police had found that the accident was caused by the racing of trucks without maintaining the correct distance and had referred the case to the court. The court also fined Kamaljit two thousand dirhams for causing damage to another person's property by this racing.
However, the owner of the victim vehicle had filed a complaint alleging that Kamaljit's negligence had caused damage to him and his vehicle. Kamaljit, who was undergoing treatment for persistent bleeding in the stomach in the accident, was facing difficulty in proceeding with the case and approached Salam Pappinissery, CEO of Yab Legal Services in the UAE, demanding compensation for the losses he had suffered. He immediately filed a petition in the Insurance Court under his leadership, but the court rejected it. However, Kamaljit's lawyer, dissatisfied with this verdict, approached the Civil Court seeking a review of the Insurance Court's verdict. The court, which considered the petition, ordered the insurance company to pay compensation of two hundred thousand dirhams. However, he approached the Court of Appeal against the decision of the First Instance Court, stating that this amount was insufficient for his client's treatment and to repair the damage to the vehicle and that more money was needed. The court, understanding the request, increased the two lakh dirhams awarded by the First Instance Court to three lakhs (i.e., 68 lakh Indian rupees).
