Court orders to pay 22 Lakh Rupees to Malayali firm owner

Sharjah: Naseema Ismail, a native of Palakkad, owner of Suriya Stationery in Sharjah, has been ordered by the court to pay Dh117,944 (approximately Rs22 lakh) in a civil case filed in the Sharjah Court. Naseema filed the case against a private school in Sharjah. She filed the case in the Sharjah Civil Court through Salam Pappinissery, a lawyer at Ali Ibrahim Advocates, claiming that she was owed money for the stationery she provided. However, the lawyer appearing for the school argued in court that the products provided by the institution to the school were of substandard quality, but the court rejected the school's argument. They had presented the court with receipts of the money previously paid for the goods. The court also asked the lawyer how they had paid for the substandard goods in the past. The court then accepted the documents and arguments submitted by Naseema's lawyer and ordered the firm to pay the amount due and court costs. Naseema, who had closed the firm due to financial difficulties and returned home, was assigned legal representative Salam Pappinissery to take further action on the case.
