A Pakistani national, Tariq Zia Uddin, who was severely injured in a road accident in Dubai, has been awarded 120,000 Dirhams (approximately 91,83000 Pakistani Rupees) in compensation.

The accident occurred on March 7, 2024, in the Al Quoz Industrial Area 1 of Dubai. Tariq was crossing the road when he was hit by a vehicle driven by another Pakistani national. Authorities determined that the accident was caused by the driver’s failure to give due consideration to road users. Following the incident, the driver was fined 2,000 Dirhams in a criminal case.

Tariq sustained serious injuries to his leg, spine, and chest, and was immediately admitted to Rashid Hospital.

Seeking compensation, Tariq's relatives contacted Salam Pappinissery, CEO of YAB LEGAL SERVICES. Tariq's lawyer registered a case with the Insurance Authority, naming the insurance company of the driver responsible for the accident as the defendant, and submitted evidence including the judgment from the criminal case.

After reviewing the documents, the Insurance Authority ruled in favor of the victim, instructing the insurance company to pay Tariq Zia Uddin a compensation of 120,000 Dirhams (AED 120,000). The legal assistance provided by YAB LEGAL SERVICES was crucial in securing this favorable judgment for Tariq.
