Four lakh dirhams in compensation to Fajees ,who was injured in a car accident.
The court has ruled to pay four lakh dirhams (91 lakh Indian rupees) in compensation to Fajees, a native of Kathiroor, Thalassery, who was injured in a car accident in Abu Dhabi, through the intervention of YAB Legal Services CEO Salam Pappinissery.

On November 11, 2022, a Filipino national was caught breaking traffic rules on Sultan Bin Zayed Street in Abu Dhabi, driving without paying attention to the red traffic signal and hitting Fajees' bike, which was coming from the opposite direction. The court found that the accident was due to the negligence of the Filipino national, and the Traffic Criminal Court fined the driver 10,000 dirhams and released him.
Subsequently, Fajees, who suffered injuries to his head, face, left shoulder, and ribs in the car accident, approached YAB LEGAL SERVICES - CEO Salam Pappinissery to seek compensation. Later, through his intervention, a case was registered against the leading insurance company in the UAE and the driver of the vehicle by submitting medical reports and police reports before the Insurance Authority.
Fajees's advocate argued before the Authority that the insurance company that insured the vehicle should pay compensation, as Fajees had sustained injuries all over his body and that the cause of his serious injuries was the negligence of the driver of the opposing vehicle. After hearing the arguments, the Authority asked the insurance company to pay compensation of 400,000 (four hundred thousand) dirhams. However, according to the documents submitted, Fajees did not suffer any major injuries and that only a small amount should be paid to Fajees. Although the opposing party approached the Civil Court and the Court of Appeal and finally the Supreme Court, Fajees's lawyer could not stand up to the reply memorandum, which came with strong documents, including the medical report issued by the UAE Medico-Legal Department and documents of medical expenses. The Civil Court and the Court of Appeal, including the Supreme Court, confirmed that the amount awarded by the Insurance Authority should be paid.
