The Philippine national cheated Jigo Thadikkal, a native of Angamaly, Kalady, by promising to make him a partner in the business. Mentally and financially exhausted by the deception, Jigo approached Salam Pappinissery, CEO of Yab Legal Services. Through his intervention, he approached the court and the Dubai court ordered him to return the money.

The company that he had promised to make him a partner in was started in 2016, but had to close by mid-2018 due to non-payment of rent and non-renewal of its license. Thus, the Philippine national contacted Jigo Thadikkal through his family sister and promised to give him 50% partnership and half of the profit if he gave her 35,000 dirhams. So, the partnership fee of 35,000 was paid immediately, and the expenses of renewing the license of the firm, renovating the firm, paying the rent that was due in advance, getting the employee's visa, the flight ticket for the employee to come from the country to the UAE, and advertising the firm were also spent by Jigo Thadikkal himself, and it amounted to a total of approximately 74,000 dirhams.

However, when the license was renewed, the firm was renovated, and the advertising, public attraction, and business increased, the Philippine native started to backtrack on the promises he had initially made. He did not even bother to return the amounts spent on Jigo Thadikkal. She did not bother to inform Jigo Thadikkal of the profits or business figures for three months. Moreover, it even came to a point where the woman working in that firm, who was Jigo Thadikkal's family sister, was not allowed to enter the firm. Since it was a ladies' salon, Jigo Thadikkal, who is a man, had difficulties in entering the establishment during its operation, so Donna, a native of the Philippines, took full advantage of it. She also changed the key to the establishment and Jigo Thadikkal was unable to enter that part.

It was at that time that Jigo Thadikkal filed a case with Salam Pappinissery, CEO of Yabsa Legal Services, a law firm in the UAE, in order to obtain his rights. The case reached court and arguments were held. Although the opposing party submitted many baseless arguments before the court to shirk his responsibilities, the court ruled in his favor because Jigo Thadikkal submitted complete evidence such as the receipt of the money paid, the contract drawn up by the economic department, etc., and according to the report provided by the accounting experts appointed by the court, the court ruled in his favor. The verdict was that the opposing party should pay Jigo Thadikkal 64,427 dirhams. When the opposing party was reluctant to grant the rights despite the verdict, the opposing party agreed to grant the rights only when Jigo Thadikkal's lawyer requested the court to cancel the opposing party's establishment's trade license and deny the opposing party's travel permit.
