The accident occurred on November 19, 2021, when a car carrying Emirati citizens lost control and crashed into a nearby sand dune on Sharjah’s Muwailah Road. Fahad Saeed, who was in the vehicle, was injured and admitted to Al Dhaid Hospital. The police registered a case after finding that the driver was driving under the influence of drugs, and the case was referred to the criminal court after the accused confessed during evidence collection. Since he had previously been tried for driving under the influence of drugs, he was sentenced to 6 months in prison and a fine of 20,000 dirhams for driving under the influence of drugs, and 6 months in prison and a fine of 20,000 dirhams for driving under the influence of drugs.

However, Fahad Saeed, who was undergoing treatment in the hospital after sustaining rib injuries in the accident, approached Salam Pappinissery, CEO of Yab Legal Services, seeking compensation for the damages he had suffered. The opposing parties approached the civil appeal courts against this, but the court rejected them.
