On December 31, 2019, Natarajan, who was riding his bike near Dubai Discovery Gardens, was hit by a traffic light when he crossed it. Natarajan died at the scene.

The family, devastated by the death of Natarajan, the only support of the family, approached many people to seek compensation from the insurance company, but the insurance company rejected the family's request, saying that the cause of the accident was Natarajan's negligence and that he had driven the vehicle without paying attention to the red signal. Salam Pappinissery, CEO of YAB Legal Services in the UAE, was entrusted with taking further legal action, and Natarajan's lawyer immediately approached the court for compensation, and the court forced the insurance company to pay two hundred thousand dirhams in compensation.
