Family of Pakistani national Amjad Nawaz, who died in a car-bike collision, to pay three lakh dirhams in compensation.
The court has ordered the family of Pakistani national Amjad Nawaz, who died in a car-bike collision after failing to stop at a red signal, to pay three lakh dirhams (i.e. two crore 28 lakh Pakistani rupees) in compensation, through the intervention of Yab Legal Services CEO Salam Pappinissery.

The accident occurred on June 28, 2021, in Musaffah, Abu Dhabi, when a car driven by an Emirati citizen, who had not heeded a red signal, collided with a motorcycle driven by a Pakistani national. The biker, Amjad Nawaz, who was seriously injured in the impact of the lightning, was immediately taken to the hospital, but his life could not be saved. The case was referred to the criminal court after it was found that the Emirati citizen had driven the vehicle forward without heeding the red signal. Since the accused himself confessed to the crime before the court, the court imposed a fine of three thousand dirhams and ordered the family of the deceased to pay two hundred thousand dirhams in compensation.
However, the family, devastated by Amjad Nawaz's sudden demise, approached Salam Pappinissery, CEO of Yab Legal Services in the UAE, seeking compensation for the material losses they had suffered. Understanding the family's needs, he immediately filed a petition with the insurance court, making the company that insured Amjad Nawaz's vehicle the opposing party, and demanded compensation. The court, considering the petition, awarded forty thousand dirhams as compensation. However, Amjad Nawaz's lawyer, stating that the awarded amount was insufficient, approached the civil court and requested for more compensation. After examining all the documents submitted, the court increased the forty thousand dirhams to one lakh. The Insurance Court approached the Court of Appeal against this, but the Court of Appeal rejected it.
