Nepali national who was injured in a car accident in Sharjah, get paid 2 lakh dirhams in compensation.
The court has ordered Harilal Giri, a Nepali national who was injured in a car accident in Sharjah, to be paid 2 lakh dirhams (72 lakh Nepalese rupees) in compensation through the intervention of YAB LEGAL SERVICES CEO Salam Pappinissery.

On October 31, 2020, two cars collided while changing lanes on Emirates Road in Sharjah, injuring the passenger, Harilal. Harilal, who was seriously injured, was immediately admitted to the hospital. The criminal court found that the driver of the opposing vehicle, who was driving without following the traffic rules, was at fault and was fined Dh10,000 and released.
Harilal, who suffered serious injuries to his head and legs, approached YAB LEGAL SERVICES CEO Salam Pappinissery to seek compensation. After examining the details of the case, he registered a case with the Insurance Authority, including the insurance company that insured the vehicle and the driver.
After examining the documents submitted, including the medical report and the criminal case judgment, the court ruled that Harilal was entitled to compensation and that the company that insured the vehicle should pay eighty thousand dirhams as compensation. However, realizing that Harilal's condition, who had undergone two operations after breaking a bone in the accident, was very bad and that the amount awarded was low, Harilal's lawyer filed a case in the Dubai Civil Court, seeking an increase in the compensation amount. The Civil Court considered the case and increased the compensation amount to one hundred thousand dirhams. Later, the case was registered in the Court of Appeal, which increased the compensation amount to two hundred thousand dirhams (72 lakh Nepalese rupees).
