On December 27, 2018, a vehicle was driven carelessly on Al Azazeel Street in Dubai, failing to comply with traffic rules and causing an accident when it hit a minibus traveling on the left. Elona, who was in the minibus, was seriously injured and admitted to Rashidiya Hospital.

The criminal court found the driver of the vehicle that hit the minibus to be negligent and imposed a fine of 3,000 dirhams on the driver. However, Elona, who suffered injuries to her chest, left shoulder, and spine, did not receive any compensation. That is how Elona's relatives approached Salam Pappinissery, CEO of YAB LEGAL SERVICES, and filed a case.

He investigated the details of the case and initiated legal proceedings to obtain compensation, submitted the necessary documents such as the medical report and criminal case judgment, and registered the case with the Insurance Authority.

After examining the documents submitted, the court found that Elona's injuries were serious and ruled that the insurance company of the vehicle that caused the accident should pay Elona 500,000 dirhams as compensation.
