On September 9, 2019, Esin Yobowa, who was taking a break from work at the company, was hit by a crane at his workplace. He was immediately taken to the hospital for treatment. The police, which investigated the accident, filed a case against the labor supervisor, the forklift supervisor, and the security and safety officer for failing to warn workers at the workplace, failing to provide adequate training to workers on safe work procedures, and failing to ensure that workers complied with safety rules at the workplace. The court, which considered the case, fined the defendants Dh10,000 and released them.

However, Esin Yoboa, who was undergoing treatment for serious injuries, approached Salam Pappinissery, CEO of Yab Legal Services in the UAE, to seek compensation. He claimed that the company was at fault and that the criminal court had pointed this out, and filed a petition in the civil court under his leadership, making the company the opposing party. After examining the medical report and other reports submitted, the court ordered the company to pay two hundred thousand dirhams (six and a half million Ghanaian cedis) in compensation.
