Three hundred thousand dirhams in compensation to the family of Emirati citizen, who died in a car accident in Umm al-Quwain.
The court ruled to pay three hundred thousand dirhams in compensation to the family of Emirati citizen Omar Ahmed, who died in a car accident in Umm al-Quwain, through the intervention of YAB Legal Services CEO Salam Pappinissery.

The accident occurred on September 24, 2021, when a car carrying three Emirati citizens crashed into the back of a truck that was moving on Sheikh Zayed Road in Umm Al Quwain. All three people who suffered serious injuries due to the impact of the lightning were immediately taken to Umm Al Quwain Hospital, but their lives could not be saved.
The police reached the scene of the incident and collected evidence and filed a case. The driver of the vehicle in which the Emirati citizens were traveling was found to be drunk. However, the court decided that the case could not be continued since the accused had died and the case was discontinued.
The family of the deceased Umar Ahmed did not receive any compensation or alms as the criminal court had stayed the case. To resolve this issue, they approached Salam Pappinissery, CEO of Yab Legal Services, and he took over the case. In addition to compensation, Umar Ahmed's lawyer had submitted a memorandum to the insurance court, demanding alms. After examining the documents submitted, the court forced the insurance company to pay the family of the deceased Umar Ahmed two hundred thousand dirhams as alms and one hundred thousand dirhams as compensation (a total of three hundred thousand dirhams).
