Global Pravasi Association Chairman Salam Pappinissery, Gulf Malayali Federation UAE General Secretary Nihas Hashim Kallara, and Gulf Malayali Federation Welfare Convener Abdul Salam Kalanad submitted a direct petition to Public Works Minister P.A. Muhammad Riaz, demanding that foreign investors be considered in the K-Rail project that is going to mark the development history of Kerala and in the new tourism projects of Kerala that are growing.

Salam Pappinissery explained that the expatriates aim to join hands with the government on the basis of the growth of the country, providing a better living environment, increasing job opportunities, and initiating more projects in a short time. He also stated that discussions were held with overseas Malayalis doing business in various sectors in this regard and most of them accepted this idea and asked them to move forward.

The association office bearers expressed hope that the Public Works Department would consider this need as a dream project for expatriates and that Minister P.A. Muhammad Riyaz would consider their petition with due approval.
