Radhakrishnan, a native of Paripally, Kollam, who had not paid his Sharjah credit card, returned to his homeland. Radhakrishnan was helped by free legal assistance from Yab Legal Services.

In 2007, when he was working in a private furniture factory in Dubai, he took out a credit card from a private bank in Dubai. He had been paying his installments regularly. At this time, he lost his job and returned home.

In 2012, he started working in another private establishment in Ajman for a meager salary. At this time, he asked the bank to pay him. He said that he, the only source of income for a poor family of four, could not pay the installments with his low salary.

When he returned home from a vacation, Radhakrishnan was arrested at the Sharjah airport. That's when he learned that the bank had filed a case for non-payment of his credit card. He was then released on passport bail at the Khizais Police Station. He sought the help of Yab Legal Services, fearing that he would lose his job if he did not get his passport or other documents without paying the money and settling the case.

Yab Legal Services provided the necessary assistance under the leadership of CEO Salam Pappinissery. They also helped Radhakrishnan, who was released from prison after paying the fine, return to his country.
