Legal Hurdles Cleared; Mortal Remains of Pathanamthitta Native Binu Rajan Repatriated

Sharjah: Following financial and legal difficulties, the mortal remains of Binu Rajan, a native of Pandalam, Pathanamthitta, who passed away in Sharjah, have been repatriated to his hometown. His wife, Sreela, who had been struggling due to a travel ban, also accompanied her husband on his final journey.
Binu Rajan passed away due to a heart attack at his residence in Sharjah on the 29th of last month. The delay in forensic procedures, followed by a travel ban imposed due to a case filed by a real estate company, had hindered the repatriation of the body and Sreela's travel.
The travel ban on Sreela was lifted after court procedures were completed, following the intervention of Salam Pappinissery, CEO of Yab Legal Service. The body was flown to Thiruvananthapuram on an Air India flight on Thursday night.
Binu, who worked as a printing press designer, was in a dire financial condition after losing his job. The loss of vision in his eye due to diabetes had also taken a significant toll on his mental health. The family had been relying on Sreela's income. The body arrived in his native place early Friday morning and was cremated on the premises of his home. His children, Nandini and Nived, are currently studying in India.
