Pakistani Delivery Rider Awarded AED 50,000 Compensation in Sharjah Accident Case Following Legal Intervention

Sharjah: A Pakistani delivery rider, Mohammed Hasnat Noor Mohammed, who sustained injuries in a traffic accident in Al Nahda, Sharjah, has been awarded compensation of PKR 3.8 million (AED 50,000) following the intervention of Salam Pappinisseri, CEO of Yab Legal Services.
The incident occurred on September 24, 2023, when Hasnat was riding his motorcycle for delivery purposes in Al Nahda. A vehicle driven by a Comoros national rear-ended his bike. The impact caused Hasnat to fall, and his motorcycle overturned onto him. He was immediately admitted to Kuwait Hospital for treatment of his injuries.
During the criminal proceedings, the Comoros national driver admitted his fault, stating that he changed lanes carelessly and without paying attention, colliding with Hasnat's motorcycle, which was in the slow lane. The Criminal Court found the driver guilty and fined him AED 1,000.
However, despite sustaining significant injuries to his shoulder, left elbow, and chest, Hasnat had not received any compensation. He then approached Salam Pappinisseri of Yab Legal Services for assistance. Salam Pappinisseri reviewed the details of the case and initiated legal procedures to claim compensation for Hasnat.
Yab Legal Services submitted the necessary documents to the court, including the criminal case judgment, medical reports, and a memorandum. After reviewing the case, the court ruled in favor of Mohammed Hasnat Noor Mohammed, ordering the Opposite party to pay him AED 50,000 (approximately PKR 3.8 million) in compensation for the injuries and damages he sustained.
