DUBAI: A Dubai court has awarded a compensation of AED 30,000 (approximately 23.2 Lakh Pakistan Rupees ) to Muhammad Imran Abdul Aziz, a Pakistani national who sustained injuries in a road accident. The verdict was secured through the intervention of Salam Pappinissery, the CEO of the well-known legal firm YAB Legal Services.

The incident occurred on January 26, 2024, near Mediclinic Hospital in the Al Safa 1 area of Dubai. The accident was caused by an Omani national driving a Lexus, who entered the road without ensuring it was clear and collided with the motorcycle driven by Imran. As a result, Imran suffered a severe injury to his left shoulder.

The court had previously fined the Omani driver AED 2,000 for reckless driving and violating traffic laws. Following this, Imran, with the assistance of Salam Pappinissery, filed a civil compensation case against the insurance company of the at-fault vehicle.

The legal team presented a detailed case, submitting crucial documents including the accident report, forensic medical report, and payment receipts for the expenses incurred. Based on the evidence and arguments, the court ruled in favor of the victim, ordering the Omani citizen's insurance company to pay AED 30,000 in compensation, along with an additional AED 3,850 to cover legal and court expenses.
