Pakistani girl injured in accident gets 1.5 Crore Rupees compensation


Sharjah: A Dubai court has awarded Dh7,83,540, nine percent compensation and court costs (1.5 crore Indian rupees) as compensation to a Pakistani girl who was seriously injured in a road accident. Aman Ahmed Mohammed, a native of Islamabad and a first-grade student of a private school in Sharjah, was injured in a road accident in Al Nahda, Sharjah in December 2014 while crossing the road with her mother. The vehicle was driven by Sharif, a native of Mayyil, Kannur. Sharif was fined Dh1,000 and released by the Sharjah Traffic Court. Against this, the student's father, Muhammad Raqib, filed a case against Alliance Insurance through Salam Pappinissery, CEO of Yab Legal Services, demanding Dh1 million. The court awarded the compensation.
