DUBAI: A Pakistani national, Ali Raza Ashiq Ali, has been awarded AED 30,000 (approximately 23.11 Lakh Pakistan Rupees) in compensation by a Dubai court following a motorcycle accident. This favorable ruling was achieved through the legal assistance of Salam Pappinissery, CEO of YAB Legal Services.

The incident occurred on March 18, 2024, on Tripoli Street in Dubai. Ali Raza Ashiq Ali, a motorcycle driver, was traveling from Al Rabat Street towards Al Warqa when his motorcycle overturned due to negligent driving, inattention, and a sudden change of direction.

Ali Raza sustained an injury to his left hand as a result of the accident. Fortunately, the motorcycle itself did not suffer any significant damage.

While the criminal case was dismissed as no one else was found to be a victim in the incident, Ali Raza Ashiq Ali sought compensation for his injuries. He approached Salam Pappinissery, and with his help, a compensation claim was filed against his own vehicle's insurance company.

All necessary documents, including a copy of the accident report, forensic medical report, and medical bills, were submitted to the court. After hearing arguments from both sides, the court ordered Ali Raza Ashiq Ali's vehicle's insurance company to pay AED 30,000 in compensation along with AED 3,856 for medical expenses.
