Pakistani National Awarded PKR 7.7 Lakh Compensation Following Abu Dhabi Road Accident

Abu Dhabi: A Pakistani national who sustained injuries in a road accident in Abu Dhabi has been awarded AED 10,000 (approximately PKR 7.7 lakh) in compensation. Arbab Ahmed Aurangzaib received the settlement with the legal assistance of YAB Legal Services.

The incident occurred on January 2, 2024, at approximately 8:10 PM, near Khalidiyah Mall in Abu Dhabi. Arbab Ahmed, who was riding a motorcycle, was hit by a car driven by an Indian national. According to the police report, the accident was caused by the car driver's negligence, who changed lanes without maintaining a safe distance.

Arbab Ahmed suffered a severe cut on his right hand and was admitted to Sheikh Zayed City Hospital. The car driver was fined AED 1,000 for violating traffic rules.

Following the accident, Arbab Ahmed’s relatives approached YAB Legal Services CEO, Salam Pappinissery, to file a compensation claim. The legal team registered a case with the Insurance Authority, submitting all necessary documents, including the medical certificate and the police report.

After reviewing the evidence, the court ordered the insurance company of the at-fault vehicle to pay AED 10,000 in compensation to Arbab Ahmed.
