Pakistani National Injured in Accident Awarded AED 100,000 Compensation by Court in UAE

Dubai: Court in UAE has ordered a compensation of AED 100,000 (approximately 77.65 Lakh Pakistan Rupees) to Asghar Ali Altaf Hussain, a Pakistani national who sustained injuries in a road accident in Dubai. This verdict was made possible through the legal intervention of Salam Papinissery, CEO of YAB Legal Services.
The incident occurred on July 23, 2023, near Arabian Ranches 2 on Al Qudra Street in Dubai. Asghar Ali, who was riding a motorcycle, was involved in an accident when he suddenly turned left while traveling from east to west. This led to a collision with a Tesla car driven by an Emirati national, who was traveling in the correct direction. Asghar Ali suffered severe injuries to his chest, leg, and shoulder and was immediately admitted to Middle East Park View Hospital.
A police investigation into the accident, including a review of documents, accident sketches, video recordings, and police reports, revealed that Asghar Ali was at fault. However, the criminal case was dismissed as it was deemed of minor significance.
Following this, Asghar Ali approached Salam Papinissery, CEO of YAB Legal Services, who assisted him in filing a compensation claim against the insurance company. All necessary documents, including a copy of the accident report, forensic medical report, and medical bills, were submitted to the court. After hearing arguments from both sides, the court ruled that the insurance company of Asghar Ali's vehicle must pay him AED 100,000 as compensation.
