Pakistani National Injured in Al Ain Accident Awarded AED 110,000 Compensation Through Yab Legal Services Intervention

An Al Ain court has awarded Pakistani national Awais Ahmed, who was injured in a car accident, 110,000 Dirhams (approximately 8.4 million Pakistani Rupees) in compensation. This was facilitated through the intervention of Salam Pappinissery, CEO of Yab Legal Services.
On June 29, 2023, Awais Ahmad was riding his motorbike in the Zakher area of Al Ain when he lost concentration and collided with a parked car from behind. Due to the impact, he was thrown off the bike and sustained severe injuries, leading to his admission to Watba Hospital. The Criminal Court found that the accident was caused by Awais's negligence and failure to adhere to traffic laws, and he was fined 3,000 Dirhams.
Following the accident, Awais suffered serious injuries to his thigh bone and right leg. He contacted several legal firms seeking compensation, but they all turned him away, stating that he wouldn't receive any compensation since the accident was due to his own fault. It was then that he learned about Salam Pappinissery, CEO of Yab Legal Services, and explained his situation to him. Subsequently, Mr. Salam Pappinissery took on the case and initiated proceedings to secure compensation.
The compensation case was filed by listing the insurance company of Awais's motorbike and the insurance company of the parked car as opposing parties. Medical reports detailing the extent of the injuries, police reports, and a memorandum demanding compensation were submitted to the court. Although the insurance company's lawyer submitted a reply memorandum opposing these claims, the Insurance Dispute Resolution Court ruled that Awais's motorbike insurance company must pay him 110,000 Dirhams.
