RAK Court Awards AED 150,000 Compensation to Pakistani National Injured in Traffic Accident

Ras Al Khaimah: The Ras Al Khaimah Court has ordered a compensation payment of AED 150,000 (approximately 11.3 million Pakistani Rupees) to Imran Ali Ehsan Ali, a Pakistani national who sustained serious injuries in a road accident in the UAE.

The accident occurred on May 22, 2024, in Ras Al Khaimah. According to case files, an Emirati student driving a GMC vehicle attempted to overtake another car. At that moment, Imran Ali was riding his motorcycle between the two vehicles. The driver’s sudden overtaking maneuver resulted in a violent collision with the motorcycle.

Imran Ali sustained severe injuries to his chest, left shoulder, and brain as a result of the crash. Following the investigation, the Traffic Criminal Court found the Emirati driver responsible for the accident, imposing a fine of AED 3,000.

Seeking justice for the physical trauma and resulting financial strain, Imran Ali’s family approached Salam Pappinissery, CEO of Yab Legal Services. Under his direction, a civil compensation case was filed against the insurance company of the offending vehicle, supported by strong medical evidence and the prior criminal court ruling.

After reviewing the merits of the case, the court ordered the insurance company to pay AED 150,000 to Imran Ali as compensation for his injuries and suffering.
