Sharjah Book Fair; Jabir Abdul Wahab releases Malayalam version of Man Booker International Prize winner Jokha Al-Hariri's novel 'Madhura Narakam'


Sharjah: The Malayalam version of the novel 'Madhura Narakam' by 2019 Man Booker International Prize winner Jokha Al-Hariri, 'Madhura Narakam', was released by Jabir Abdul Wahab (Bridgeway) to Gold FM radio jockey Tanzi Hashir at the 39th International Book Fair, which began at the Sharjah Expo Centre. Jokha Al-Hariri's novel has been translated from Arabic by renowned novelist Ibrahim Badusha Wafi. The launch ceremony was held at the pavilion of the book's publisher, Olive Publications.
In the novel 'Madhura Narakam', we can see a teenage Omani girl describing the beauty of her village through the memories of her grandmother. We can see the inextricable intertwining of the soil, trees and people through the memories of an expatriate girl. Apart from being a novel, we can describe this novel as a beautiful memoir. Readers can enjoy a different experience in reading through Madurai Narakam.
